It all started Online
It was early 2012- back in the pre-Tinder days when you had to access the internet on computers. Andrew noticed Cara's profile on a site called J-Date and sent her a message - there was no response.
Then the universe granted Andrew a lucky break and she logged on to the site –
One. Last. Time.
A few witty messages were exchanged, (ok Cara’s were witty, Andrew’s were...grammatically flawless)…all leading up to the decision to meet – in person.
It was a chilly weeknight in January . So cold you could almost wear a long sleeve flannel shirt (which Andrew did). He was in Santa Monica, she was in West Hollywood, and each being entrenched in their respective Los Angelino neighborhoods, they cautiously agreed to meet in the demilitarized zone known as Beverly Hills. Ok, technically Cara retained her home court advantage as the restaurant was in West Hollywood, but it was on the border of Beverly Hills, so we’ll call it Beverly Hills adjacent. Pasta was had, followed by one too many martinis and even a few (yes plural) kisses. That night the temp may have been a frigid 65 degrees (that’s 18 to you Canadians). …
But in reality things were just starting to heat up...
